
About Us
Although Anjar Chocolatier emerged from my entrepreneurial spirit, my love for chocolate has much deeper roots. In 1929, my great-grandfather, a German immigrant to Brazil, founded a candy business that thrived in our family for over 70 years and remains in operation today. With chocolate in my blood, I dedicated myself to mastering the craft. After graduating from Indiana University, I pursued my passion further by studying French Chocolate and Confectionary Arts at École Ducasse.
That journey ultimately led me to Austin, Texas, a city that celebrates craftsmanship, creativity, and bold flavors. Inspired by Austin’s vibrant food culture and entrepreneurial energy, I opened my first store and chocolate factory here, bringing a new level of artisan chocolate to the community.
